The Hotel Parklane is located in a residence along the Plantage Parklaan, on a green and quiet spot in the centre of Amsterdam at a walking distance from several different cultural experiences. For this reason the hotel is the ideal starting point for excursions throughout the city of Amsterdam.

The hotel is situated in a peaceful area close to famous squares, small pubs, bars and the tramway.

This small and charming hotel makes you feel at home. It has clean and spacious rooms that sleep between one and three people. Rooms for 4 people are available on request and at an extra charge.

Our hotel is completely non smoking!

Due to the 19th century character of the building, which is now considered a historic landmark, no two rooms are the same regarding lay-out and furnishings.

Alimentaţie & băuturi

Breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:00 in the breakfast room.
The breakfast buffet includes fresh Dutch coffee or tea, a boiled egg, some brown or white bread, muesli, cornflakes, yoghurt, cheese, pâté, jam and much more.

For lunch and dinner there are over 20 places to eat within 100 metres of the hotel. The restaurants vary from Dutch, French, Turkish, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Thai and Indonesian and there are also bakeries, butcheries, supermarkets and night shops.

Most rooms have en suite bathrooms with toilet and shower. There is one single room which has its own private facilities in the hall on the same floor.

All rooms are equipped with a colour TV, a small refrigerator and a wake-up system. The rooms in the front of the hotel have a park view and the rooms at the back have a garden view.

The hotel is situated in the Plantage district. It was originally built in the 17th century as a garden. Nowadays the city’s zoo, Artis, is located there. Just around the corner of the hotel you can find the Resistance Museum (Plantage Kerklaan 61) which displays a variety of different exhibitions about the resistance movement in the Great War and Second World War.

From the hotel the city of Amsterdam can be easily reached by tram or on foot. There are also many attractions close to the hotel. These include the Rembrandtplein, the Stopera (The City Hall), Carré (main theatre), the Maritime Museum, Dam Square, the Waterlooplein and its famous flea market and the University of Amsterdam. The Red Light district and its many bars are also within walking distance.

paper work went smooth; when I called or emailed I got correct answers promptly - staff was generally helpful; bathroom was nicely refurbished; breakfast was great;

closet doors were broken; I was surprised that I had to pay in advance (it was ok, just unexpected)

The location was great.

The shower was not sealed at the bottom so we had to put towels down to stop the water running and leaking out onto the bathroom floor. However this would no stop me from staying here again.

We were in triple room, cause more space in room. Double room is very small in all private hotels near city center imho. This hotel have a good location (near city center, but quiet place)

Trere is no elevators in old buildings (including this hotel), very steep stairs, no variety in breakfast - no vegetables (at all), no baked roll and so on. In our triple in 3 (last) floor was'nt air conditioner (but we can change temperature by radiator and closed/opened window). Ps sorry for bad english.

The hotel staff were very friendly/lovely and very helpfull. Lovely hotel and the room was actually large. Hotel in nice area by Botanical Gardens (Horticus Botanicus) 15-20 min walk into city centre! Definately stay there again!
